Course Syllabus:
Types of projection:
Concepts of projection and standard methods used in India.
File type and compatibility:
Native file formats and interoperability with other software.
Terms to be used:
Software specific terms used in training.
Environment setup:
Setting up the basic working environment for users.
Sketch creation with constraints:
Creating basic sketches with constraints) to aid in part modelling.
Feature-based Part design with parameters:
Creating parts with parameters in the 3D workspace. Includes Boolean operation to aid in designing complex parts.
Multi-body part design:
Create parts using multi-body parts. It's a part of the feature-based part design.
Catalogue creation with design table:
Creation and usage of the catalogue for standard parts using design tables
Assembly design:
Creating an assembly using both top-down and bottom-up approach.
Drafting:
Creating a technical drawing with custom made templates.
Generative shape design:
Creating shapes and surfaces with splines and curves.
DMU Kinematics:
Simulate Kinematic linkages in the assembled part and animate the working model. Introduction to Kinematic analysis using CATIA.
DMU Fitting:
Simulat part motions for assembly and maintainability issues. It addresses the design review environment of Digital Mock-Ups (DMU).
Photo studio:
Render images of the assembled product with material properties. Render videos of the rendered parts, both fitting and kinematics included.
